House of Rep Set To Resume On Tuesday.

The House of Representatives is set to resume on Tuesday from its annual recess to continue the 10th Assembly’s first legislative year.

On the 27th of July, the 10th Assembly went on its annual recess, commenting on the resumption, the spokesperson of the House and House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Rep Akin Rotimi said since it’s inauguration, the House had recorded 470 bills with all passing the first reading, while four passed the second reading, 175 motions had been considered by the parliament and the recess didn’t stop them as various ad hoc committees continued to carry out their crucial mandates.

Some of the developments expected upon the resumption of the House according to Rep Rotimi were the conclusion of the work of all ad hoc committees and the submission of their reports, the House would get the final draft of it’s legislative agenda developed by the as hoc committee led by the majority leader, Rep Julius Inhonvbere

“the draft agenda was developed following extensive consultations with critical stakeholders.” he said

He also added that the membership of the standing committees would also be announced and fully constituted.
