NTA Obtains Broadcasting Rights For The 2024 AFCON.

The National Television Authority (NTA) has effectively obtained the sole broadcasting privileges for the eagerly awaited 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The historic agreement ensures the comprehensive coverage of every moment of the upcoming 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on NTA. This development comes as a surprise, given that Multichoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, were unsuccessful in securing the rights for the highly sought-after football event, as they had in previous years.

The Africa Cup of Nations, referred to as TotalEnergies AFCON, AFCON, or CAN, holds a prominent status as Africa’s premier international men’s association football competition. The 2024 edition, scheduled to commence on Saturday, 13 January 2024, and conclude on Sunday, 11 February 2024, will be hosted in the football-rich nation of Cote d’Ivoire.

In a groundbreaking move, NTA has formed a strategic alliance with Afro Sports through a significant memorandum of understanding. This partnership ensures that NTA will broadcast all 52 thrilling matches of the AFCON tournament.
