Popular Critic, Daniel Regha Quizzes Davido’s True Intentions

In reaction to Davido’s “300 million Naira” donation to the nation’s orphanage homes, internet celebrity Daniel Regha has “flawed” the Nigerian singer.

The Nigerian musician Davido had declared that his organization will donate “300 million Naira” to the nation’s orphanages.

He claims it is his “yearly contribution to the nation,” and today, February 21, 2024, is when the “disbursement” will begin.

He shared the news via X(fka Twitter) where he wrote: I and my foundation pledge the sum of ‘300 million Naira’ to orphanages around Nigeria… as my ‘yearly contribution to the Nation’ ❤️ .. details of ‘disbursement’ tomorrow(today).”

Soon after, the singer’s move was criticized by Daniel Regha on his page, who also accused him of being prejudiced.

In addition to using his platforms as the “people’s voice,” he requested that he “call out leaders in the country who are not living up to their role as elected representatives” and promote good leadership.

Regha stated that: “Helping out the needy financially is good, but that alone shouldn’t be anyone’s ‘yearly contribution to the nation.”

“The likes of Davido need to engage in political discussions; he’s a Nigerian and should do it without being biased. Celebs should speak up for the masses by calling out our leaders; they should put their influence to good use.”

Daniel Regha continued by saying that although Davido had previously given “millions” to orphanages, his donations were not properly documented and he had not yet fulfilled his purported “promise” to give away 20 million Naira to supporters.

“The last ‘250 million Naira’ Davido supposedly donated to an orphanage was not well accounted for; he’s also yet to fulfill the ’20 million Naira’ pledge he made in the form of a giveaway.”

“The same Davido has been accused of owing/seizing people’s money (like that of Amaju Pinnick), but he wants to donate ‘300 million Naira’ to orphanages around Nigeria? And y’all wonder why Nigerian politicians can get away with almost anything in this country.”
