Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele recently announced her upcoming movie Finding Me on her Instagram page with a transition video that featured Femi Adebayo, Joseph Benjamin and Shaffy Bello.
The movie Finding Me will be produced through the Funke Akindele Network (FAAN), a production company owned by the actress. However, the release date and the movie’s main plot is still unknown.
Funke Akindele is one of Nollywood’s celebrated filmmakers. She is mostly known for her popular television series Jenifa.
She has accomplished different milestones:
Highest grossing film in Nigeria with the movie A Tribe Called Judah with over 1.4billion.
Second highest grossing film in Nigeria Battle on Buka Street with a total of ₦668million.3
Third highest grossing film in Nigeria with ₦636 million for Omo Ghetto: The Saga.
Five AMVCA wins for Best Actress.
Regardless of the height she has attained, Funke Akindele’s consistency in the industry is worthy of emulation. Her continuos release of back to back hits and the promotion that goes along with deserves recognition and acknowledgement.
