The Africa Movie Academy Awards(AMAA) is an award given to great actors, actresses and filmmakers who have contributed significantly to the African film industry. It is an award acknowledging their creative prowess, hard work and consistency.
The 20th Edition of the AMAA was held at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Sheraton, Lagos State, Nigeria on November 2, 2024.
Notable wins of the night include The Weekend winning the Best Film award, Jagun Jagun taking home two awards and South Africa’s The Queenstown Kings bagging four awards.
