Tiwa Savage Delivers an Electrifying Performance at King Charles III Coronation Concert

Our very own ‘African Bad Gyal’, Tiwa Savage graced Windsor Castle on Sunday night and delivered a sensational performance of “Keys To The Kingdom”.

Tiwatope Savage popularly known by her stage name Tiwa Savage, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has been crowned the “Queen of Afrobeats”, and her performance on Sunday proves exactly that. On Saturday 6th May 2023 Charles and his wife Camilla were crowned King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth at Westminster Abbey, London. King Charles acceded to the throne on 8th September 2022 after the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.

Tiwa Savage’s performance was a huge milestone in her career and an undeniably huge contribution to the Nigerian music industry and Africa as a whole. It’s a mark she has made on the history map, never to be forgotten as the first Nigerian act to perform at the coronation ceremony. The highlight of her performance has to be the infusion of the Yoruba talking drum, an expression of who we are and what we represent.
