There have always been cases of women putting synthetic lengths to their lashes, but nothing as durable as this, Eyelash extensions are one of the contemporary trends that aren’t going away any time soon. 

Godspeed to whoever had the idea to create them. Eyelash extensions give the natural lash line more volume, lift the face, and make people look younger. It’s no secret that society values long, thick lashes, and the only people who always appear to have them are those who do not require them. as with men and babies. 

Lash extensions will make you seem put together as soon as you step out of bed, which is a great flex for looking good at any time of day. The nice thing about lash extensions is that they can beautify the face without the use of makeup or other cosmetics. 

The first time I got lash extensions, I was a little nervous because I was afraid of losing my eyesight, for one. The lash technician did a good job of calming my nerves and making me so comfortable that I didn’t realize when I dozed off to cool soothing music and nice temperature, and the next thing I knew I was awakened to check out my new lashes. My lashes were filled in a 40–45 minute process. 

  I can’t even begin to express how much I loved the outcome; I was so overjoyed, but I left the studio after receiving some shocking instructions.

First of all, I was instructed to refrain from washing my face for about three days—yes, you read that correctly, three entire days—which shocked me. At that point, I began to second-guess my decision for getting them because I had no idea how I would manage without washing my face for three days straight, especially since I have oily skin and that was begging for a breakout. I followed up by asking her why, to which she said that I needed to find a way around it because keeping it dry would make it last longer.

The second challenge began when I had to take the popular mode of transportation, okada, to get back to my place. You understand these bike men are no respecter of new lash extensions; if they are allowed to fly with the wind, they won’t care, so I pulled out my shades and got ready for the whole ride before letting my new lash extensions go with the wind. Ever since that time, moving around with my lash extensions and shades has worked hand in hand. But in all honesty, the lashes were on point, and I thoroughly enjoyed how they appeared.

As a result of the setting and the aesthetic, the cost wasn’t drastically over the budget. I chose the standard classic set because it was the least expensive and most convincingly resembled real eyelashes. 

TYPES OF LASHES 

Mink, silk, and faux are some of the numerous types of materials used for lash extensions. Faux mink extensions, which are actually synthetic extensions but resemble mink extensions, are also sometimes used. Although no type of lash extension lasts longer than the others, mink and silk tend to look more natural. There are two main categories of extensions: Classic and Hybrid. Depending on the style you want, the classic has a more natural appearance, while the hybrid provides larger volume.

DRAWBACKS

Risks of irritation and infection

Because the eyes are so sensitive to these chemicals, eyelash extensions often require glue to adhere them to the native follicle. Some of the components can pull on the hair or weigh down the tissues, causing inflammation or irritation. Anything near the eyes has the potential to irritate because of the forces that pull and rub against the lashes. Use a qualified esthetician who can walk you through the drills, so be sure to do that.

Time and Money

This aspect is valid because refills must be provided every 2-4 weeks after the initial set, which often costs a specific amount. 

Damage to natural lashes

Even if you visit the greatest lash artists and follow your aftercare instructions correctly,You might still notice damage to your natural lashes. It becomes tougher for your natural lashes to hold the weight of the extension as your extensions grow farther out from the root of the lash. This might lead to breakage. Castor oil, which has moisturizing and nourishing qualities, is another thing that might encourage the growth of your natural lash. 

Uneven fallout

Because your lashes are growing at different rates at any given time, some of them are currently growing while others are about to shed. This means that some extensions will fall out as your lashes shed and are replaced with fresh, extension-free lashes between two and three weeks following your visit, while other extensions will stay in place. If you fail to get your refill after 2-4 weeks, this may result in an unevenly spread effect.

Washing your face can be a difficult task, As I mentioned before, I was unable to wash my face for two to three days after getting new eyelash extensions in order to make them last longer. This implies that whenever you wash your face, you must avoid the eye area.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST? 

All of your eyelashes are at a distinct stage at any given moment, which means that some of your lashes are getting ready to fall out while others are going through a period of development, just like the hair on your head, which follows the hair growth cycle, the natural cycle of shedding and regeneration. Your lash extensions should last up to a month before you require a “refill” session if you aren’t accelerating this shedding process by rubbing your eyes, using mascara, or weakening the glue with oily eye creams. 

  Refills are required every 2-4 weeks unless you’re moving off of extensions because new natural lashes grow in and lashes with extensions start to fall out.

COST

Always remember to stay within your budget when choosing a lash artist because prices will always vary from one lash artist to the next. It makes you more secure and in control.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AFTERCARE 

• Avoid getting them wet for the first 48 hours after installing.
• Avoid using cleansers that contain oils as the oil may cause the glue to dissolve.
• Don’t stand under the shower faucet for too long because the weight of the water can cause early breakages. Brush your lashes with the tiny mascara wands provided to you after each appointment.
• To prevent your eyelashes from breaking and coming out, sleep on your side or back. This will prevent them from pressing into your pillow case.
