I am so not one to believe the price equals quality, and glowing skin is too damn expensive. Turns out, there’s a limitless amount of drugstore skincare hidden gems that go pound-for-pound against their luxury counterparts on the shelves. Here are inexpensive alternatives to assist you in achieving your perfect skin.
Understanding Your Skin Type
Whereas, before you fill your bathroom with various items, it is very important to understand what kind of the skin (dry/oily/combine/sensitive) you have. This helps you pick products that really suit your individual requirements.
The Emphasizing on Skincare routine:
The fundamental steps for basic skin care routine includes;
1. Cleansing – Use a gentle hydrating cleanser that is better at removing dirt, oil and makeup from your face in comparison to natural skin oils. Choose products containing hydrating elements, such as hyaluronic acid or glycerin.
2. Moisturizing: Hydration is important for a shiny and soft skin. Select a moisturizer compatible with your skin (oil-free, a light lotion, rich and creamy).
3. Sunscreen: Defend your skin from harmful UV rays with a broad-spectrum, SPF30+ sunscreen. Use it daily, either on a sunny or cloudy day.
Drugstore Heroes:
Cleansers: you are recommended to use micellar water, foaming cleanser or gentle gel cleaners.
The type of moisturizers – use lightweight gel-creams for oily skin, rich creams for dry skin and combination formulas (for balanced)
Sunscreens: Pick from lightweight lotions, gel-creams or mineral sunscreens for sensitive skin.
Serums: For more targeted issues, try a vitamin C serum (see my new favorite at the bottom), hyaluronic acid serum or niacinamide serums instead.
Eye Creams: Adding an eye cream to your skin care routine can help in preventing puffiness and dark circles.
