The award ceremony however has brought up some controversial issues, BBNAIJA Tacha was of the opinion that it wasn’t right for the biggest music award show in Africa to be held outside Africa. Best Female Artist winner, Ayra Star frowned at her award and called out the award show organisers for not presenting the award on stage on the night of the ceremony. She insisted that female artists work as hard as the male artists and should be accorded same respect.
