This July, Netflix will debut House of Ga’a, a biopic directed by Bolanle Austen–Peters, set in 18th-century Nigeria.
Premiering on the 26th, the film chronicles the rise and fall of Bashorun Ga’a, a cunning kingmaker who used deception and voodoo to gain power but ultimately met his downfall due to his own bloodline.
The film features a stellar cast including Femi Branch, Mike Afolarin, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Ibrahim Chatta, Dele Odule, Bimbo Manuel, Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Adebayo, Gabriel Afolayan, Jide ‘JBlaze’ Oyegbile, Seun Akindele, Yemi Blaq, Adeniyi Johnson, Muyiwa Ademola, William Benson, Gbenga Titiloye, and Kunle Coker.
