President Tinubu Asks CBN To Put A Hold On The Cybersecurity Levy.

President Bola Tinubu has requested the Central Bank of Nigeria to suspend the enforcement of the contentious cybersecurity fee.

This follows the criticism following the CBN’s recent announcement of the levy. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, revealed on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, that President Tinubu instructed the central bank to pause the implementation of the 0.5% cybersecurity levy for a review of its application methods.
