Sometimes Nigerians can be unromantic in some stuff that they do. Example their dating life. The idea of a date to an average Nigerian could be narrowed down to going to restaurants, going to each other’s houses, going to clubs and bars. These are good date plans but there is more to dating than this. Sometimes we are unable to channel our passions and likes to our dates. Sometimes we don’t get creative with our dates, or get to try new things together with the one you like. These are some awesome date ideas that you can try
Coffee Dates
This is an ideal first date, especially for coffee lovers. You sit down at a coffee shop and enjoy your drink and possibly the scenery. Coffee dates are nice because they give you an opportunity to actually talk to yourselves and get to know each other, and also the fact that you are looking at each other It’s easy to read the person’s expressions. Coffee dates also nice because it is not an expensive option. You don’t have to break the bank to go on a coffee date. Also, unlike alcohol, coffee has the ability to keep you alert, so no shenanigan can occur. Now other non alcoholic beverage can be used if you or your date is not a big fan of coffee. Coffee is just a blanket term for the whole lot
Movie Dates
Yes my movie lovers, this is for you, although I believe everyone is a movie lovers, so this date idea can go for anyone. There different places that this could happen. You could make it a house thing where you do it at home, you could do it virtually or you actually step out on an evening and go to a cinema or a drive in. This date would begin with actually choosing the movie to watch before the actual day, doing the necessary things like buying a ticket if it is a cinema date and getting the snacks and drinks if it is an indoor movie date. This is a cool way to get to know your date through their taste of movies. You can also go to a theatre and watch a play if it interest you
Picnic Dates
Picnic dates are awesome for outdoor and nature people. You know, those people that love nature and it’s children. To do this, you have to first get a park in a suitable and serene environment, good food, homemade or otherwise is good. Drinks, good music if you want, a blanket and a camera for pictures because it’s going to be beautiful. You could go on short walk on picnic dates, take a dip if you’re near a body of authorized water. There are other activities that you can do to enjoy your date like playing games, reading, painting and even bringing out your inner child and fly a kite. If the date is long enough, you could watch the sunset together and also stargaze. Nature is God’s beautiful gift to mankind. It is only right that we enjoy it.
Art Gallery/Museum Dates
You are artistic or you are an art lover, or you love history and stuff that happened long time ago, this is for you. Gallery and museum dates are also a good way to spend date night. I mean, art is beautiful. Even if your date is not a fanatic, you can still interest them. You can give them background stories on the art, or maybe enjoy the beautiful art in front of you in silence. Even if you are not fluent in the language of art, you can ask the curator to explain the piece to you guys. You could have fun trying to figure out what the art means. Museum dates are just like art dates. You could go around looking at pieces and learning about the history of some of these pieces. It’s also nice because it is a nice way to insert knowledge into romance. Most museums have coffee shops and gift shops so you guys can go nuts there too
