Throwback Thursday; Classic Nostalgic Nigerian TV Shows.

There are TV shows we watched as kids on our small TV set in the living room packed with our parents, siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles, laughter erupting at every scene.

Papa Ajasco and Company

A Wale Adenuga production, Pa Ajasco was loved for always placing his hand on his head, tapping it while exclaiming “Ojigbijigbijgbi”. There was also Mama Ajasco, Bobo Ajasco, Boy Alinco, Miss Pepeiye and Pa James. All together, they gave us one of the best comic shows.

Super Story

A series of unique stories about different characters. It served as a form of moral education for growing kids and adults. There was always a lesson to learn, about greed, corruption and wrong life choices.

Binta My Daughter

Binta, the good girl was the ideal girl child everyone should emulate. Binta ,my daughter was a great drama for coming of age kids.

Fuji House of Commotion

Centered on Chief T.A Fuji, a rich man who married four women and who bore numerous kids for him. It portrayed a typical Nigerian polygamous family, the cat and dog fights and the gossips. This was one of the shows Nigerian families looked forward to whenever it aired.

This life

A dive into how life is beautiful, how life comes at you very fast and unexpectedly and still expects you to keep up and continue moving, how time flies and how quickly things changes. It also had nice moral lessons.

Face 2 Face

“Face to Face, another way of life”

It is a comedy drama that shows the “face me I face you” housing system that is very common in Nigeria.
