Tinubu Aims for Guinness World Records Acknowledgment For His Economic Reform Efforts.

During the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum on November 21, 2023, President Bola Tinubu claimed that his economic reforms, initiated since taking office on May 29, warrant acknowledgment from the Guinness World Records.

In his address to investors, President Tinubu credited his achievements to overcoming challenges in Nigerian investment. He underscored the significance of his corporate background, including roles at Exxon Mobil and as treasurer, in preparing him to tackle the country’s economic hurdles.

Emphasizing his private sector roots, Tinubu encouraged those with concerns about obstacles, stating that he was trained by Deloitte, worked for Exxon Mobil until he became the corporation’s treasurer.

Proud of his eight-year governance in Lagos, he highlighted the state’s transformation into Africa’s fifth-largest economy. Tinubu stated that he can proudly say that Lagos is the fifth-largest economy in Africa, a testament to his track record that led him to the presidency.

Stressing his commitment to reforms, Tinubu noted that Nigeria voted for him based on this dedication, and he initiated these reforms from his first day in office. He concluded by expressing a desire for recognition in the Guinness Book of Records, stating, if not acknowledged, he would find a way to insert himself because he achieved it without expectation.
